5G network speeds are coming – How fast is 5G?

5G

5G stands for the fifth generation of wireless technologies and it would be faster than 4G. The details are a little bit vague, but the question is that how much speeds are supposed to be fast. When compared to 4G standards that are 100 Mbps up to 1Gbps, the speed of 5G are upwards of 1 Gbps to 20 Gbps. Of course, 5G is a lot faster and those speeds ever be realized. The expected date of this rollout is not confirmed yet. No doubt, it would alter the smart phone industry as you know it. More confidently, the term 5G will be used longer, before the official release. Presently, you will be hearing the following terms such as the newest 5G phone and new 5G networks is now available, before the 5G speeds are really achieved, if 4G rollout is an instance. 5g is now going to be very fast. Here is the comparison of 4G and 5G:

4G                               –           5G

3.5G/DC-HSPA+          –           42.2 Mbps

4G/LTE                       –           100 Mbps

4G/LTE Cat.4              –           150 Mbps

4G/LTE advanced        –           1,000 Mbps

5G                               –           10,000 Mbps

Is 5G fast enough for you? Definitely, it is supposed to be very fast sufficient for everyone, everything as well as IoT, i.e. Internet of Things. Beyond your devices and smart phones, the usage of 5G goes away. 5G will build on a base made by 4G LTE. It allows the user to send texts, browse the web and also make calls. Moreover, it would significantly improve the speed at which the data is transferred in all over the network. 5G will also make it simpler for people those who download as well as upload ultra high definition and 3D video. It would also build room for thousands of internet-connected devices entering on a daily basis.

Projected 5G principles

Below are the lists of projected 5G principles that include:

  • Top upload data rate of 10 Gbit/s
  • Top download data rate of 20 Gbit/s
  • Perception of 100% coverage
  • Perception of 99.999% availability
  • 1000x bandwidth per unit area
  • 90% reduction in network energy usage
  • 10-100x numbers of connected devices
  • Up to ten year battery life for machine-type and lower power devices
  • 1-20Gbps connections to the end points in a field, i.e. not theoretical maximum

5G network

What would 5G actually be?

The GSMA has dual views of technology. One of the specialized things about 5G technologies is hyper-connected tension that principally incorporates the entire current technologies and also inserts them on steroids. Most probably, 5G will be a mixing of couple of views. Definitely, there would be both merits and demerits to this latest network technology. Trustfully, the merits will make it all valuable. Calls for 5G is delivering 20Gbps download speed and such bandwidth will be shared with thousands and millions of devices including all connecting and disconnecting, which affects performance. The 5G networks are expected to coming on this year and your internet speeds will be very fast, when they appear. Therefore, the 5G technology will not be widely available until 2020.
